Jointing Begins

Where the walls have been cleaned, joints chiselled and jet washed, the team can at last start filling them with the chosen colour mortar. We are using a premixed coloured mortar to give consistency over the entire surface. The test bed is the two storage rooms at the front and the back of the house. The mortar in these photos is still wet so it looks darker than the final finish.

While they work outside I am busy setting out the joists for the attic floor.

Most of the rear wall has been cleaned but the final scaffolding for over the arch is being used elsewhere!
