The plasterers have left and they did not complete the painting to the floor as there is eventually going to be a skirting board or it will be behind kitchen cabinets or other furniture. However, it may be some time before that is done and as we will have to look at it for a while I decided to finish it off to the floor. It will also help seal the plasterboard and it has helped me and some of the imperfections that I need to resolve.
As the coats are drying I am working upstairs to get the internal and external walls finished so that the electrical cable can be first fixed and the plasterboard fitted. Mostly straightforward but one or two challenging areas, notably where the heating pipework has been installed by the window through the internal wall section! To free up space I am also installing the insulation wherever it does not cover cable routes.
Sadly my gardening days are over, or at least reduced to 75% Efficiency. Draper offer a 25 year guarantee, at least until you contact them and ask them for a replacement. then it turns out the guarantee is worthless. Be warned.
