Yesterday we had a visit from the windows supplier to agree the height of the lintels above the new door in the utility room and for the existing windows. Florent can now get on with making and amending all lintels (to hide the shutter rollers and covers) but setting the one over the door is the most important as it will allow the scaffolding to be taken down and the ground floor preparation to be finished.

The lintel also defines (or is defined from) what will be the finished floor level so getting this right is veery important. Florent has done as much as he can for now with the floor so work will concentrate on the lintel and the wall above it next.
