Second day of screed mixing. Good progress but the materials are running out. Even with the extra bags of sand you can see in the driveway that were delivered this morning it will not be enough. We think that the person who organised the sand and cement mixed cubic metres for tonnes and there will not be enough to finish tonight.
The guys have a canteen in the back of the van and reheated food they or their families made and invited me to join them.
While they have been working on the screed, I have helped them moving the wheelbarrows to try to improve the efficiency. In between barrow loads I have been slowly finishing off the cladding for the workshop.
Late in the evening and this is as much as can be done. I sent this photo of Mohammed to his boss to let him know how late we were working and to explain that the materials had run out. He says he will organise it for tomorrow morning.
