The floor beam on the new concrete pedestal has been bolted with resin. The exiting windows are having their lintels raised and the view of the back of the house starts to take shape. Another lintel is raised to provide space for the electric shutters over the rear window./door opening.
First floor oak parquet flooring arrives with some minor damage. generally it is OK but there is a large variation in the lengths that I did not expect. The underside is pin pricked for gluing although I will be nailing to the joists. The parquet floor system is tongued and grooved and does not respect the distances between joists. I have done some research and apparently it is the way it is done here with reliance on the T&G to support the floor at the joins. The delivery was right in the middle of the pathway so I have to manually move it inside where it will make a work top for me until it gets installed.
