EV Charging, Travertine, Fountain and Ground Floor Tiling 6

I have finally received instructions on how to reset the Tesla charger and by following their instructions, I finally got it up and running. This records the first three phase charge using 16 Amps and at a rate of 53km/hr. Nearly ten times faster than the home charging at the rental property. It will be even better when it is running off the PV panels.

Paid for the machine hire first thing this morning and it arrived on site soon after enabling me to move the travertine onto site and stack them by the doors for easy access for the tilers due tomorrow (Saturday).

I have laid a few out to see the colour match and texture but they are still wet so darker than the final product. Even so I am pleased we chose the premium quality as there are very few holes in the surface.

This is the machine. It looks powerful but can only lift 1 tonne safely. Much more than that and it is in danger of becoming unstable. As it was on hire for the whole day I have used it to manipulate the fountain components starting with the old table top.

First job was to move the fountain base then create a hole for the electrics to pass through that matched the position. I then placed it in position using the forks and sliding it off a little at a time.

I then replaced the fountain base and searched out the largest of the three bowls. It is a monster and very heavy. Not easy to lift and manipulate due to its shape but with some engineering nouse and some wooden blocks I managed to position it. The next pieces were relatively simple to put in place and at last we have an idea of the finished item.

I will want to adjust the spacing between the three bowls make it more consistent but that can be for when I eventually refit it (including waterproofing it) and wire and plumb it after the other work is done.
