Underfloor Heating 1
Before the floor can be done I need to remove the scaffolding we have been using for the upper mezzanine. However, before removing them I need to finish preparing the beams for the oak flooring. So today I have been moving the scaffolding around to give me access tossed the beams back as they arrived heavily marked with black stains (presumable from the machine that cut and planed them).
With the floor all marked out to show where the pipes go, the next job is to power nail the pipe clips into the concrete floor. An explosive activity! The neighbours wondered what I was shooting. The second photo is the special manifold for the underfloor heating system. It is a composite material that enables it to be used for both heating and cooling. Apparently neither bronze nor stainless steel is recommended.
Just for a break I got out and did a bit more tree trimming on the apple tree that was not done with the other fruit trees earlier in the year. It and the conifer are growing into each other so need to be separated.
