A little worrying as we are off to the UK next week and the site is now flooding. The ditch at the back of the property has overflowed into the garden preventing any further work.

The work on the fencing has allowed the water to come up to the house where it can be measured against the floor levels. To the garden store it is now 23 cms. The floor will eventually raise another 4 cms so we still have around 27 cms of protection but it shows that if we had not raised the level we would now be flooded.

Everyone says this is the worst they have ever seen it and Henri (or his family) has lived here for over 80 years.

Once again, the photos make it look worse than it is but worrying all the same.
