As I left the site this evening I noticed that the crack in the arch has grown even wider. It was quite small when we bought the property but then enlarged following the earthquake. It now looks to me as if someone has hit the edge of the arch, damaged the stone and forced the gap wider. None of our vehicles are that high so I can only assume it was one of the delivery lorries. it will just have to wait for now but it will need to be sorted eventually.
