With the sarking wood finished I started to install the covering. First the paper that I stapled to the roof temporarily before then laying out the battens. Drawings and instructions would have been useful. I had to work out what to go where and how many for each of the operations. Moving the roof panels in the wind was a bit tricky but treating them as sails with some careful tacking into the wind enabled me to get them up.
As the strong winds were scheduled to continue I decided to temporarily lay the pre-cut ridge and side panels and screw them down to hold everything in place overnight.
