to maintain the flooring for the window installation I had to lift the temporary floor I had fitted (22mm) that is the attic floor and replace it with thinner (12mm) boarding that is destined for the attic sloping ceiling. While not suitable as a long term floor it is adequate for the simple loads needed to install the windows. Eventually it will be lifted and replaced with the final 23mm oak flooring.
