On with the staircase. VIPs (Wiz and Josie) coming Wednesday week so I need to give them some safe access to the first floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the second stringer was in place I turned my attention to fixing them both. These industrial stairs are normally bolted to another metal frame that carries the floor. Here I have to attach them to the beam. While I am sure coach bolts would be adequate I prefer to use extended bolts to pass through the beam and be screwed together over washers. Alignment was never my forte with a drill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To position them correctly I have inserted spare treads top and bottom to along the stringers. I have then infilled with a combination of spare treads and some temporary ones cut from planks here on site. Some of the spares are at home so I will finish it tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back to the parquet boards. Walk in wardrobe is nearly finished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
