I took some measures as it is close to where a future enclosure in the bathroom is going to go.  Having said that it will be covered by 60mm of screed and than a further 20mm. of travertine on a mortar bed so as long as the screws are not too long, I should be OK. So I have constructed a large right angled triangle using Pythagoras.
